The Distillers - 2000
Sing Sing Death house - 2002
Coral Fang - 2003

The Distillers are a punk rock band formed in 1998. They released their first two albums on Hellcat Records before moving to Sire, part of the Warner Music Group. The Distillers were originally formed by Brody Dalle and the lineup has changed significantly since then. Brody Dalle plays guitar and sings while Tony Bradley plays guitar as well. Ryan Sinn played bass, but left recently, announcing his departure on his MySpace page.

The Distillers play intense, hard punk rock. They tour often and are fairly popular internationally. Brody Dalle has wrote/co-written all the songs on the 3 albums.

Recently, the group has been working on a new album that was supposed to be released in 2005 and has likely been delayed until 2006 [1] as the album is unfinished. Their frontwoman, Brody Dalle has recently given birth to a daughter, Camille Homme, with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme.

Brody Dalle (born Bree Leslie Pucilowski on January 1, 1979 in Fitzroy, Melbourne, Australia), is the lead singer-songwriter and guitarist for punk rock band, The Distillers.
Dalle is known for her raspy but powerful voice. "She has a voice like a gravel truck with a broken axle but she never misses a note," Brett Gurewitz once said.

When she was young, she was expelled from four schools and got sent to a Catholic girl's institution. She started a band of her own, Sourpuss, which developed a fanbase following and played alongside Beastie Boys and Sonic Youth at Australia's Somersault Festival. She met Tim Armstrong, the frontman of the punk band Rancid at this festival when she was sixteen. Dalle lied about her age at first then married Armstrong shortly after turning eighteen. She moved from Melbourne to Los Angeles, California and there founded The Distillers.
The Distillers released their self-titled first album in 2000 receiving acclaim and comparisons to Hole. By the time The Distillers came back to the studio for their second album, the band had a complete rehaul and had a new lineup with Dalle. The Distillers sophomore effort was Sing Sing Death House. Their 2003 third release was Coral Fang. That same year they played Lollapalooza.
Dalle and Armstrong divorced in 2003 and Brody reverted to using the surname of her favorite actress Béatrice Dalle of Betty Blue fame.
She is engaged to Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme. She gave birth to their first child, daughter Camille, on January 17, 2006.

Musical career

At the age of 13, Dalle started a band of her own, Sourpuss, which developed a solid fanbase, and played alongside Beastie Boys and Sonic Youth at Australia's Summersault Festival. She met Tim Armstrong, the frontman of the punk rock band Rancid at this festival when she was 16. She met him after seeing him packing up the drums backstage, and the two subsequently pursued a relationship. Despite Armstrong being 12 years her senior, and Dalle initially lying about her age, the couple got engaged shortly after Dalle turned 18. She moved with Armstrong from Melbourne to Los Angeles, California and there founded The Distillers, which took their name from a distillery she saw in Geelong.

The Distillers released their self-titled first album in 2000, receiving acclaim and comparisons to Hole. By the time The Distillers came back to the studio for their second album, the band had a complete overhaul in lineup. The Distillers' second effort was Sing Sing Death House. From that album they released two singles, "The Young Crazed Peeling" and "City of Angels". In 2003, they released Coral Fang. Dalle was then the only original member in the group. They released three singles from it: "Drain the Blood", "Beat Your Heart Out" and "The Hunger". That same year, they played Lollapalooza.

After the Distillers broke up, Dalle began work on a new project, Spinnerette, with fellow Distillers member Tony Bevilacqua, former Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam drummer Jack Irons, and Alain Johannes. The band has no songs available yet, but a medley with song samples can be heard on Spinnerette official website.

She has made vocal appearances on her husband's two bands, Eagles of Death Metal and Queens of The Stone Age.

Also appears on the track "Weigh on My Mind" on the self-titled album by The Transplants.

Personal life

Brody Dalle married Tim Armstrong, frontman of punk band Rancid. Dalle and Armstrong divorced in 2003 after Dalle commited adultery with Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. After they divorced, Brody reverted to using the surname of her favorite actress Béatrice Dalle of Betty Blue. Several songs ("Fall Back Down", "Tropical London", etc.) from Rancid's 2003 album Indestructable are about the end of their relationship.

Dalle is currently married to Josh Homme. She gave birth to their first child, Camille Harley Homme, on January 17, 2006. Dalle recently stated on the band's website that she is "pregnant", but she went on to explain that she was gestating a new album, not a new baby.
